Natasha Mohan, the founder and CEO of WorkSocial, is a dynamic entrepreneur whose passion for real estate and community-building has transformed the landscape of coworking in Jersey City, NJ. With over 20 years of experience spanning hospitality, management, retail, real estate, and artistry, Natasha possesses a unique blend of creativity and business expertise.
Natasha’s journey into real estate began 24 years ago when she ventured into residential property investment before expanding into commercial properties. Her interest in creating vibrant spaces stemmed from her time working as a makeup artist, where she spent five years listening to client needs and enhancing the natural beauty of those she served. This background in aesthetics and customer service planted the seeds for her vision of WorkSocial—a place where people can work, connect, and thrive.
Despite her impressive professional trajectory, Natasha’s path wasn’t always straightforward. After earning her Business Degree from the University of Michigan, she briefly worked at the Bank of Mexico before starting a family. Alongside motherhood, she co-founded Hantik Development, LTD in 1999 to manage the growing real estate portfolio. This multitasking entrepreneur later transitioned from freelance makeup artistry to founding WorkSocial in 2015, where she has been serving as CEO.
At WorkSocial, Natasha has carved out a niche in the coworking industry by offering a range of flexible workspaces and amenities tailored to modern professionals. From private offices and coworking spaces to virtual offices and conference rooms, WorkSocial provides a welcoming environment that fosters productivity and collaboration. Natasha’s attention to detail is evident in the incorporation of Feng Shui principles throughout the space, creating a harmonious and energizing atmosphere for members.
Under Natasha’s leadership, WorkSocial has attracted some of the biggest names in business, including Facebook, Google, Amazon, Apple, and Chobani. Her hands-on approach extends beyond business development; she played a pivotal role in expanding WorkSocial’s headquarters from 4,400 sq. ft. to 18,000 sq. ft., overseeing everything from design to sales and marketing.
Beyond business success, Natasha remains committed to giving back to the community. WorkSocial actively supports local vendors and collaborates with organizations like the York Street Project at St. Joseph’s Home to empower single women and children. Natasha’s dedication to social responsibility extends to many environmental initiatives and minority upliftment programs.
Outside of work, Natasha prioritizes health, creativity, and connections. She enjoys Pilates sessions, leisurely walks with her dogs, and the therapeutic art of painting. Weekends are reserved for quality time with loved ones and occasional travel adventures.
